UPDATE: Work is making me travel way too much. Already in 2025: France, USA, Panama, Brazil, South Africa, Italy ... soon China, Saudi Arabia and Philippines ... no idea as to what awaits me after June 🤪 UPDATE: Work travel is back, I will try to inject some days for personal fun. France, Germany, China, Spain, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa are in the planning stages for the first half of 2024. UPDATE: Post COVID traveling has gotten more complicated and much more expensive and socio/cultural changes are certainly present (such as mistrust and rejection of the "foreign". UPDATE: COVID what a bummer! UPDATE: I have finished my PhD, I think I will remain in Europe for the foreseeable future, of course I will continue traveling extensively! Immediate plans include Vietnam, Myanmar, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt and South Africa UPDATE: I will spend the summer traveling; New York, Oslo, Helsinki, Bern, Santiago, Caracas, Rome, Madrid, La Serena, Reijkiavick, Paris ... so many places UPDATE: I have finished my MA, but decided that I like living in Europe and being a student, so I am going to continue with further graduate studies. This time closer to the mountains, Geneva, Switzerland here I come. UPDATE: I have just moved to Brussels, Belgium to pursue graduate level studies. I will update this section as soon as I have some impressions of this wonderfull city. I am single, male residing in New York City. 5'8" about 175 lb. brown hair and brown eyes. I am educated and well traveled and I apreciate these same characteristics in others. I enjoy music (rock, jazz, blues, classical, alternative, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Greek, etc.) literature (Herman Hesse, Thomas Mann, Michael Crichton, Tom Clancy, Isabel Allende, Mario Vargas Llosa, Pablo Neruda, Graham Green, etc.), sailing, rollerblading, alpine skiing (I live for the snow), intimacy and much more. Although I am interested in developing internet friends, my goal is to meet my new friends face to face, even those from other parts of the globe. Travel is one of my greatest passion and I have had the good fortune of travelling extensively in Europe, North Africa, and North & South America and hope to continue exploring the Globe World travelling man seeks intellectual mate for intercourse on multiple levels. If you will be visiting New York let us talk and who knows where my travels will take me next, perhaps to your home town.

Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc.?) My interests are wide ranging. If it helps, Myers-Briggs says I am an INTJ. On the other hand, I work hard at separating work and play. I like meeting new people, but I am drawn to those with goals and ambitions. And if spiced with a sense of humor all the better. Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at and what are your goals? What Scripture verses are important to you? I usually offer up Gal 6.2 as a focal passage, but now I would include 1 Cor 13- there are so many. Jn 13.34 works as a memory verse. I can describe my faith as fixed- Paul's testimony in 2 Cor 11.25 comes to mind. What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date? Describe it :-) Any place to talk, to share one's involvement or activities. A favorite restaurant, provided it is convenient enough to explore one's interests without much interference. I am less interested in the environment- it is the person that interests me. I want to know the person in a personal way. What are your favorite activities? (Including sports, leisure, artistic/musical, etc.) Growing up in Florida meant lots of outdoor activities- living close to the beach was very convenient. I was also a naval aviator, so being around the water was ideal for me. Today circumstances are different. Much leisure activity has to do with church activity, but I am looking to balance that a little better. Since I no longer live near the water, I am gaining exposure to the arts, and community involvement all of which is very appealing. Describe your current occupation. Do you like what you do? What is your dream job? I am currently self employed, and also work at the church. I like what I do, but balance is needed too. I don't want to be identified as an occupation. Rather, to grow and be enriched by other things. To include a partner that is similar in goals and ambitions. Where did you go to school (i.e. high school or college/university, etc.)? What did you study? Did you like it? Would you like to do more? High School in Miami; College grad in economics; Seminary/Divinity School vocational degrees. One of the better things I did for myself, and I would do it all again. Not always easy, but I am far better for it. Some things I would have liked to learn but didn't (more finance, piano, other languages); other things I could have done without (term papers). What are some of your personal goals in life? Today an important goal would be to travel. So much time was invested to get where I am, but now I would like to see many things I've learned about. Europe: to visit the major cities, art museums, people and food; Asia: to explore the east; Holy Land; And in the USA to visit points further west (Grand Canyon, California); Islands: Bahamas, maybe via cruise; Cuba: maybe? These are just a few ideas to get started. How did your previous relationship end and what positive lessons have you learned which will help you succeed in future relationships? Reading some of the other profiles has me thinking how different and unique they all are. Mine is no different. For me, the takeaway is to learn from the past so as to enrich the future. There is always a lesson if I look. My hope is to be inspired by them, to inspire, and to share the journey. Where were you born? Have you ever traveled? If so, where? What is your ideal adventure? Miami was my hometown, but after graduating I traveled widely. My Navy time had me all over the world- England, Norway, Amsterdam, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Bahamas, Germany, France, Spain, Columbia. I would like to go back to some of them. Is there anything else you would like to add? This is your chance to get in that last (but not least:-) bit of important info that you would like others to know. If you've come this far reading then I must know you already! Blessings on you as you share your life. Thanks for allowing me to share mine with you.
