A realist with a positive outlook on life I will start off by telling a little bit about Finland, in case my country hasn´t been in your focus just yet. According to the annual UN happiness report, Finland is the happiest country in the world. And why wouldn´t we be? Our schools and healthcare system are among the best in the world and available for everybody. It is also a very secure place to live and thus a very good place to start a family. Furthermore unemployment rates are well below the EU average. The drawbacks? Well, the weather might be an issue, since we have "proper" winter here, with snow and temperatures below the freezing point for a couple of months a year. Finland is also situated high up in the north, meaning that there only will be 5-6 hours of daylight in December and January. This is compensated with a lot of light in the summer months: in June the nights are very short (only a couple of hours). Those foreigners who "make it" through their first winter in Finland, will usually stay for good! Then something about myself. I consider myself a kind and friendly person and I do not like violence. Every relationship will go through both good and bad times. But it is when things are not that great that the relationship is tested. Thus I think that it is very important to communicate and try to solve disagreements as soon as possible. Mutual respect and a desire to solve problems together will further strengthen the relationship.
